NVVI/DSI Annual Meeting 2011

Dear member,

In this newsletter you will find the first call for the Annual Meeting 2011. Please note that this year the meeting will be on Wednesday and Thursday, 14 and 15 December!! We are proud to present excellent keynote speakers, who will cover a broad range of subjects from basic immunology to more clinical aspects of immunology.

In addition to these keynote speakers there will be parallel sessions in which young researchers present their own work in short presentations. Furthermore, during these parallel sessions you also have the opportunity to quickly update yourselves on some immunological topics in the educational tracks. Abstracts, which are submitted and not yet ready for oral presentation in the parallel sessions, will be shortly presented during a poster walk.

At this meeting we will announce the winner of the thesis award 2011. Submissions for the thesis award can now be made, please see the link below.

NVVI Thesis Award 2011

The Dutch Society for Immunology aims to increase the visibility of excellent young immunologists in the Netherlands and has for this reason initiated an annual competition to select the best thesis in immunology. The winner gets the opportunity to present her or his work during a 20 minutes plenary presentation preceding the "Van Loghem Lecture" at the Annual meeting and in addition will receive a reward of 1000 Euro.
