Chemical Immunology Conference 2019

Friday March 15 2019

De Rode Hoed, Amsterdam

On 15 March 2019 we will host the annual ICI Conference in Amsterdam. We are happy to celebrate the continuation of the Gravitation grant and another 5 years of chemical immunology projects within the Institute for Chemical Immunology.

Just as our previous editions this day will offer a broad programme, filled with contributions by national and international speakers. In addition, there will be presentations by our own ICI PhD students and by the newest addition to our tenure track team, Kimberly Bonger. We have put together a program with several keynotes, a poster session and ample opportunities to network. Registration is now open, so please mark your calendar and make sure you will be there!

The line-up of speakers for the 5th Chemical Immunology Conference will again cover the true diversity of chemical immunology and some of the most exciting areas of research that have emerged the last few years. Our keynote speaker wil be Ton Logtenberg, cofounder of Merus N.V, a clinical-stage immuno-oncology company developing innovative full-length human bispecific antibody therapeutics. Other lectures will be given by Howard Hang from The Rockefeller University, New York, by Shoba Amarnath from Newcastle University, Newcastle upon Tyne, and by Darrell Irvine from MIT, Boston. We also have some national talent on display: Bert 't Hart from the UMCG, Groningen, and ICI tenure track fellow Kimberly Bonger from the Radboud University, Nijmegen, who combines molecular biology and biochemistry to target and answer biological questions related to autoimmune- and protein misfolding diseases. Finally, the winning PhDs and runners-up of last year’s poster competition will present the current cutting edge research of the ICI.
