NVVI invites you to the NVVI Annual Meeting 2017 on Wednesday 13 & Thursday 14 December at NH Leeuwenhorst in Noordwijkerhout. The deadline for abstract submission NVVI Annual Meeting 2017 is within three weeks now, please find the information below.
Submit your abstract in time and register at a reduced fee before Oktober 1st.
Looking forward to meeting you at our NVVI Annual meeting in Noordwijkerhout.

The board is proud to annouce Prof.dr. Frans Claas as this years 'Van Loghem Laureate'.

Candidates for this years NVVI Thesis Award can submit their thesis before October 1, 2017.

Keynote lecture 'Gene therapy for severe immunodeficiencies'

Professor Bobby Gaspar

Professor of Paediatrics and Immunology at UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health

Professor Bobby Gaspar is initially trained in paediatrics and then became interested in primary immunodeficiencies at an early stage in his career and undertook a PhD at the Molecular Immunology Unit at ICH. From there he has continued his academic and clinical career. His interests are in many different aspects of primary immunodeficiency including understanding the molecular and cellular defects and disease pathogenesis, bone marrow transplantation for severe immunodeficiencies and the development of gene and cell therapy for these conditions.

Van Bekkum Thesis Award

The Dutch Society for Immunology aims to increase the visibility of excellent young immunologists in the Netherlands and has for this reason initiated an annual competition to select the best thesis in immunology. The winner gets the opportunity to present her or his work during a 20 minutes plenary presentation at the NVVI Annual Meeting 2017 in Noordwijkerhout and in addition will receive a reward of 1000 Euro.

Candidates should have defended their thesis between July 1, 2016 and July 1, 2017.

2018 ACTERIA Prizes

The call for applications for the 2018 ACTERIA Prizes awarded by EFIS is now open!

Together with the Fondation ACTERIA - ACTing on European Research in Immunology and Allergology - EFIS will award a total of 4 prizes – 2 for immunology and 2 for allergology – for the best doctoral theses defended in the last 3 years and for early career researchers with up to 10 years postdoctoral experience.
The ACTERIA Doctoral Prizes carry a cash award of €15,000, while the ACTERIA Early Career Research Prizes amount to €25,000 each. In addition, awardees will automatically become eligible for 3-year research grants of up to €50,000 annually.

Applications are now invited from eligible European immunologists and allergologists!
