Annual meeting keynote speaker Jean-Charles Guéry

Dr Jean-Charles Guéry currently holds a position of Research Director at the French Institute of Health and Medical Research (INSERM) in Toulouse (France). He is the Principal Investigator of the Team “Sex differences in immunity: mechanisms and pathophysiology". Over the past 15 years, he focused his research interest in the understanding of the mechanisms responsible for sex-related differences in immunity. Recent works in his lab sustain the hypothesis that sex hormones and sex-chromosome loci, may act in a cell-intrinsic manner to regulate the development, maintenance or functional responses of specific cellular subsets of the innate and adaptive immune system, thereby controlling the sex differences in immune related disorders (allergy, autoimmunity, susceptibility to infections).

Publish in our international journal with an impact of 4.7!

The NVVI is part of the European Federation of Immunological Societies (EFIS). Importantly, in EFIS NVVI is one of the largest societies. EFIS is not only important for the organization of the European Congress of Immunology and several schools it is also awarding many travel grants for young investigators to visit international immunology meetings. In addition, we have our own immunology journal namely European Journal of Immunology. Please consider to publish in this journal, impact factor has increased to 4.7 and is similar than for instance Frontiers in Immunology and Journal of Immunology. It also has the opportunity for open access publications.
